If you'd like to visit one of our branches, you can find the one that’s nearest to you and check the opening times. Our branch finder will show what you'll find at each branch, for example 24-hour ATMs or disabled access.
Digital banking has made it easier and more convenient for you to manage your money.
If you prefer to visit your local HSBC branch in person but want to find out how digital banking works, we’ve introduced an award-winning service 2.
Assisted Digital offers side-by-side assistance in our branches to help you get to grips with online and mobile banking. We’ll help you to explore our digital channels and learn how you can access your account 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our aim is to help you feel more confident in carrying out your everyday banking at a time and place that’s convenient to you.
Plan a visit
If you’re already registered for online and mobile banking, you’ll need to bring your mobile phone into a branch so we can help you with our Assisted Digital service.
If you’re not registered for online and mobile banking, we’d recommend that you download the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app before your visit and then bring your phone with you into a branch as well as some photo ID.
Still nervous about digital banking?
If you’re new to online or mobile banking and not yet confident about what you’re doing, we’re here to help. Our branch colleagues are trained to support you by explaining how to log on and carry out everyday banking. They’ll be on hand each step of the way.

1 Sorry, but we can’t offer appointments in a branch at the moment. This is because of the coronavirus pandemic. We’ll let you know when this changes.
Existing customers may prefer to log on to online banking to make booking even simpler.
2 In March 2019, HSBC won the Best Application of Technology award at the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards for launching Assisted Digital.
Paying in cheques
If you have cheques to pay into your account, you don’t need to come into a branch – you can do this easily using the HSBC UK Mobile Banking app. You can deposit up to £500 per cheque with a daily limit of up to £750.
Download the app from your app store if you don’t already have it.
Bring your phone into a branch if you need any help downloading or using our mobile banking app.
Paying in cash
Cash withdrawals will be deducted from your daily withdrawal limit.
You can also deposit cheques using a pre-printed HSBC credit slip. This will take one day longer to reach your account than those paid in at HSBC branches, if you pay your cheque in before the Post Office® branch cut-off time. Please ask your Post Office® branch for details of the cut-off time. You will also need to use an HSBC Post Office® cheque deposit envelope which is available from Post Office® branch counters.
In certain circumstances, subject to status, we may offer a cheque encashment service at Post Office® branches to customers who are unable to use a Chip and PIN card. Please contact us for further information regarding this service. We may withdraw this service at any time based on account conduct.
